Last night, Brady was 25 of 32 (78%) for 231 yards and had 1 pick and 3 TDs. (He also had two rushes for -2 yards, man he sucks.)
Brady's line was good enough for a single-game QB rating of 115, which is higher than any other quarterback's overall rating. (Tony Romo, who leads the list of mere mortals, has a 112.9 rating for the season.)
So how good is Tom Brady? His performance last night was by far his worst effort of the season. It dragged down his QB rating from 141 or so to 134.7.
He's thrown more touchdowns this season (13) than 10 opening-day QBs have combined. He's been sacked 3 times -- Jon Kitna has been sacked 18 times.
Oh, and what about Randy Moss? Essentially, the Patriots traded Deion Branch and a fourth rounder for Moss and a first rounder.
Moss now leads all receivers with 505 yards and 7 TDs. People think of Moss as an old guy, but he's only 30; Steve Largent played until he was 35 and Jerry Rice I think is still playing, somewhere.
Just amazing.
p.s.: How do you think Drew Bledsoe feels having been benched now for both Brady and Romo?
