Choose Your Own Narrative

This chart shows the moving average of all national polls released in the previous two weeks, by day.

Obama is in blue and McCain is in red. For comparison's sake, Kerry (light blue) and Bush (light red) are also charted.

Remember that in 2004, Kerry had his convention in late July. Bush's convention didn't start until the very end of August and finished in early September.

The raw data for 2008 comes from Pollster.com. (Worth noting: Pollster.com includes every non-overlapping tracking poll.) The raw data for 2004 comes from RealClearPolitics.com and Rasmussen Reports.
