New Ad Nails McCain's 'Strong Economy' Statement

I'm also watching McCain's first interview of the day -- on CNN -- and he seems half-asleep. They need to give him some coffee. He's made two unusual comments:

  1. He randomly talked about having a 9/11 commission in the context of the economy. Where did that come from? Is there some 9/11 commission for the economy? (That's a serious question -- perhaps it's some banking thing?)
  2. McCain also said that manymost Americans don't pay any taxes. I have a feeling that is going to be a bit of a gaffe to put it mildly. (Edit: I had intially thought he said most which would have been a big gaffe, but he said many, which is still pretty stupid in the context that it came.)
  3. He also repeated the Bridge to Nowhere lie.

Biden is now being interviewed after McCain as a rebuttal. He's doing a great job, not falling for any of John Roberts traps, and sticking to a strong populist line.
