Along with David Neiwert, Blumenthal has a new article on Salon.com about Palin and the secessionists. Here's some interesting points:
Walter Hickel, who served as governor of Alaska under the Alaskan Independence Party's banner before switching back to the GOP, was co-chair of Palin's gubernatorial campaign.
Mark Chryson, a former AIP state party chair, has been a key political ally to Sarah Palin. Chryson, who has a cheery disposition, is a bit of a political nutjob. For example, he not only supports Alaska's secession from the union, he also thinks the wrong side won the civil war.
In Palin's first mayoral campaign, she called herself "the Christian candidate," implying that her opponent, John Stein, was Jewish. (Stein was actually Lutheran.)
